Since 2018, Fostering Love has sought to strengthen foster care, kinship care families and DSS by supplying resources and support to meet the needs of displaced children in Pickens and surrounding counties in Upstate South Carolina.
Our Mission
Fostering Love is a faith-based organization dedicated to improving the lives of displaced children as they struggle in care.
“Clothing Kids in Dignity has been such a blessing to our family. When a child comes to your home, they have nothing but the clothes on their back. Fostering Love answered immediately and met me within the hour to provide a week’s worth of clothes, toiletries, and even toys. It is wonderful to know that a resource like this is just a call away when tasked with welcoming a child into your home during their darkest hour.”
What We've Achieved
Since July 2018, children coming into care have been provided with duffel bags to help meet their immediate needs.
Assisted in organizing and obtaining sponsors to provide Christmas gifts to displaced children.
Provided gift cards to DSS employees to feed children coming into care and being transported to visits.
In 2021, we remodeled the DSS visitation rooms to provide a family room setting for parents to visit with their children.
