Clothing kids in dignity

Clothing Kids in Dignity provides duffle bags to children of all ages who are coming into the care of DSS. We seek to eliminate the practice of children carrying their belongings from place to place in garbage bags. We also provide restaurant gift cards for meals as they travel or are at Pickens DSS.

Fostering Love partners with Pickens DSS to ensure children in care receive Christmas gifts. We also sponsor the community event, Shop with a Hero Pickens, which provides children in need with a memorable holiday shopping experience alongside law enforcement and first responders, promoting a sense of safety and connection. We reach out to local churches, businesses, and individuals to secure sponsorships and donations.

Mission 15:58

Mission 15:58 hosts periodic, morale boosting events for the employees of DSS. We recognize these employees have a tough job and rarely get the recognition and support they deserve.

Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Families count

Keeping children with family is priority when possible. Fostering Love provides support to help keep families together.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. Proverbs 31:8-9
